Romantic getaway in Granada: through the forests of the Alhambra
Needless to explain why Granada is a city for passion. Just arrive and feel. Whether you like it or not. And is that reasons to fall in love has handfuls.
Few places are as evocative as the Albayzin, with his neighborhood life that does not lose his music no matter how much tourism he receives; few as wild and racial as the Sacramonte, impossible to conceive in any other European city and, of course, few (or none) postcards as idyllic as those of the Alhambra, the Palace of Carlos V and the Generalife Gardens with Sierra Nevada in the background.
In Granada you can eat well (and for not much money) in many places (The Hacienda Señorío de Nevada or the Ruta del Veleta, for example, are two recommendations to keep in mind), but as for romantic dinners, very few restaurants can compete with the Morayma viewpoint. In this Carmen del Albayzín everything convinces: its decoration, very in tune with the city and with the neighborhood, the traditional food (from a white garlic from Granada to its specialty: the morayma tortilla), and above all, the mute views of the Alhambra from its suggestive garden. There are two tasting menus with prices of € 75 and € 95 per couple.

Wander the trails of the Alhambra forests It is a proposal as obvious as it is appealing but, although it seems a lie, many miss it when returning by bus to the city after visiting the monument. On the other hand, to give a new twist to the visit to the Alhambra and connect it with the rest of the city, the Tourist Board offers guided tours such as "The Alhambra and Granada Carolina: The Emperor's Dream". It is an itinerary that departs from the Palace of Carlos V and ends at the Monastery of San Jerónimo. Go through the Gate of the Grenades, the cathedral and the Royal Chapel. It takes place on Mondays and Sundays at 9.30 a.m. (approximately 4 hours). Tickets are available on the web and through the phone 902 888 001.

If there is something that cannot be done in Granada, it is 'kick'. But that does not mean that it is also an exciting plan to travel by car. This is not worth anyone: you have to do it in a Hurtan, the Granada brand that manufactures only 300 vehicles per year. These are classic replicas of the 40s with the latest generation engine. Specifically, the Albayzín model It is inspired by the Jaguar XK.
In addition to the hotel Palace of the Ducks, the perfect hiding place to live Granada as a couple is the Morisca House, between the Albayzín and the Alhambra. Although without big luxuries (it only has three stars), in this traditional Granada house with its patio and its glazed ceramics it is not difficult to feel like a 19th-century traveler. If available, choose the Mirador room whose name says it all (HD: € 170). Another wonderful option, next to the river and on the Paseo de los sad, is The water thief, overlooking the Alhambra. It has a more modern inclination, with traveling art exhibitions in its lobby and a bilingual library (Spanish and English) available to the client. From the Generalife suite, our favorite, in addition to the Alhambra, you can also see the Carrera del Darro and the Generalife Gardens (HD: from € 149).
